My Sister's Closet
Prom is an event that should be a joyous milestone in the life of every high-school student. Yet every spring hundreds of underprivileged girls stay home because they cannot afford the cost of a new dress or accessories. If you are (or know of) a high-school senior who’s considering skipping the prom this year because you can’t afford the appropriate attire, don’t give up your belle-of-the-ball dream just yet!
First annual dress drive was held in 2016. As of today, over 560 dresses have been donated, to "My Sisters Closet". We are still in need of SHOES and Jewelry! Donations may be dropped off at Island Cowgirl Boutique or PM and we will make arrangements to pick them up. This is a program that helps girls in local schools to have prom dress that wouldn't otherwise be able to go to prom.
Event is for girls age 14 to 19, only one dress per girl and an adult must be present to take home a dress. This is a free rental program. Dress need to returned within one week after your prom, cleaned and same condition as your received it. Dresses MAY NOT be resold. All dresses have been donated to Island Cowgirl Boutique for the sole purpose of My Sisters Closet.
First Christian Church, in Paris AR has generous to allow us to store and host event every year.
